Mitsubishi Crane Repairs in New Zealand

In early July our engineers were called to New Zealand to investigate the slew bearings on cranes no.2 and 3 on a bulk carrier. This job included a rocking test on all four of the cranes and greasing of cranes no. 2 and 3 after contamination was detected in grease expelled from outside the slew bearing. After much troubleshooting regarding the loud noises being produced by cranes 2 and 3, all four cranes have now been passed for continued operation by the class surveyor.
